Frequently asked questions

How do I check my electricity bill online?

Choose your company above, type the 14-digit reference number from your bill and press Check bill. The official PITC page opens, where you paste the number to see and print your bill.

What is the price of one electricity unit in 2026?

It depends on how many units you use in the month. For non-protected homes the base rate runs from about Rs 22 to Rs 47 per unit, and taxes and surcharges come on top. The full slab table is on this page.

Who is a protected electricity consumer?

A home that used 200 units or less in each of the last 6 months. If one month goes above 200 units, the home becomes non-protected and the rate goes up a lot.

Why can the calculator differ from my real bill?

Real bills also carry the fuel price adjustment (FPA), quarterly adjustments, meter rent and sometimes provincial taxes, which change every month. Type the FPA from your last bill for a closer estimate.

Do you save my reference number?

No. The number is only copied in your browser and the official page is opened. Nothing is sent to SoftBar.

About Electricity Bills in Pakistan

Pakistan's electricity distribution companies (Electricity) supplies electricity to homes and businesses across Pakistan through DISCOs such as LESCO, FESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, MEPCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, TESCO and K-Electric. Every month it issues a bill showing units used, charges, taxes and the due date. You can check a duplicate Electricity bill online with the 14-digit reference number printed on your bill.

Reading the bill carefully helps you spot mistakes such as wrong meter readings, estimated units or detection charges, and understand why a bill changed from last month. Fuel price adjustment (FPA), taxes and slab changes are the most common reasons for sudden increases.

Pay before the due date to avoid a late payment surcharge. Bills can be paid at banks, post offices, through mobile banking apps and wallets such as JazzCash and Easypaisa.
