Check the SIMs registered on your CNIC the official way, through PTA: by SMS to 668 or on the PTA website. Takes one minute.

This helper only opens the SMS app on your phone. Your CNIC is not sent to SoftBar.

Two official ways to check

  1. Open the SMS app.
  2. Type your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes.
  3. Send it to 668. Charges may apply.
  4. You get a reply with the number of SIMs on your CNIC for each mobile company.

2. PTA website

  1. Open cnic.sims.pk, the official PTA SIM information system.
  2. Enter your CNIC number and submit.
  3. You see the number of SIMs on your CNIC for each mobile company.

Information source: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

If you find a SIM that is not yours

Go to a franchise or customer centre of that mobile company with your original CNIC. After biometric verification they can block the SIM or remove it from your CNIC. A SIM on your CNIC is your legal responsibility, so do this quickly.

Beware of "SIM owner details" websites

Some websites claim to show the name, CNIC or address of any mobile number. This data is leaked and illegal to share, and many of these sites are scams. Only PTA and the mobile companies can confirm SIM ownership, and only to the owner.

Balance and remaining internet

To check your balance, remaining internet or minutes, open the page of your network: Jazz, Zong or Ufone.

Frequently asked questions

How can I check how many SIMs are registered on my CNIC?

Send an SMS with your CNIC number without dashes to 668, or enter your CNIC on the PTA website cnic.sims.pk. You get the number of SIMs on your CNIC for each mobile company.

Is the 668 service free?

PTA says charges may apply to the SMS. Check with your operator.

What should I do if a SIM on my CNIC is not mine?

Visit a franchise or customer centre of that mobile company with your original CNIC and ask them to block or remove the SIM. PTA asks people to report SIMs issued without their consent to the operator straight away.

Can I see the owner name of any mobile number?

No. Websites that claim to show the owner name, CNIC or address of any number are illegal and often scams. Only you can check the SIMs on your own CNIC, through PTA.

Does SoftBar save my CNIC?

No. The helper on this page only opens the SMS app on your phone with your CNIC filled in. Nothing is sent to SoftBar.

About the SIM Data Check

SIM ownership checks help you see which mobile numbers are registered against your CNIC. In Pakistan, SIMs are linked to CNICs through biometric verification, and you are responsible for SIMs issued in your name.

Checking regularly helps you spot SIMs you do not recognise, which could be misused. If you find unknown numbers, you can ask the relevant operator to block them.

This page explains the official ways to check. SoftBar does not access or store any SIM or CNIC data.
