How it is calculated
Tax = fixed amount of the slab + rate % x (income above the slab start)
Monthly tax = annual tax / 12
Take-home = salary - tax
Worked example
- Monthly salary 250,000 means annual 3,000,000.
- Slab 2,200,001 to 3,200,000: fixed tax 116,000 + 20% of (3,000,000 - 2,200,000) = 116,000 + 160,000 = 276,000 a year.
- Monthly tax = 23,000. Monthly take-home = 250,000 - 23,000 = 227,000.

Frequently asked questions
Which tax year does this calculator use?
It uses the salaried-individual slabs for tax year 2027, which is 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027 (also called 2026-27).
Is salary below 600,000 a year taxed?
No. Annual taxable salary up to 600,000 is taxed at nil.
Does it include rebates or other income?
No. It estimates tax on salary only. Other income, rebates, credits and exemptions are not included, so confirm with your accountant.
Why compare with last year?
The upper slabs were reduced for 2026-27, so people earning above 2.2 million a year may pay less than before. The comparison shows the difference for your salary.
Is my salary data saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is sent to us or saved.
About the Salary Tax Calculator
Salaried people in Pakistan pay income tax through monthly deductions by their employer, based on the slab rates announced in each year's Federal Budget. This calculator estimates yearly and monthly tax on your salary under the rates set on the page.
Tax slabs change almost every budget, so a raise that looks large may bring a different marginal rate. Seeing the monthly deduction before you accept an offer or plan your expenses helps avoid surprises.
The result is an estimate for salaried income only. Other income, tax credits, allowances and special cases can change the final amount; your employer's payroll or a tax advisor can confirm it.
